cloth armor question
Here is a question for all you cloth armor aficionados. I have heard enough folks talk about jacks and lentners and other forms of cloth defense built from many layers of cloth stiched together ( m has one for sale with a good discription) that I am sure they existed but can anyone point me to some ...

Long strap on a heater
Geige. Guege. I don’t really know how to spell it. I am in the process of re-cutting and retrofitting one of my old rectangle shields to be a bit smaller and a heater. In doing this I am interested in working with a more authentic strap set up which will involve replacing the wire cage with a...

Review of Infinity Steel
I recently purchased a set of Articulated Stainless Steel Knees from Mr. Terry Orton at Infinity Steel. Construction can be seen at: m The communication with Mr. Orton was fast and thorough. He was very clear about the measurements needed to determine the size I would require from his company's stoc...

I am on board too. In fact, I have sugested that very thing but I got looked at like a weirdo. We use thrusting attacks all the time at 'unofficial' practices without thrusting tips and they are fine. I will say that I do see where is could be abused and open up the door to injury but that is an iss...

I like to set my buckles on the outside of the knee behind the wing. I use a strap short enough that the buckle is hidden. I also set the buckles on the entire leg on the outside. Getting the buckle hung up once and falling because of it was enough for me. I do occasionally get hit on the buckle but...

The impression that I get from Mr. Orton (infinitysteel) is that he cares very much for his craft, equally he care for his business. When I plateau with my training, I find that a short break, (like 2 weeks) followed by radical change helps to increase the learning curve. By radical change, I mean changing weapon styles or shields. I also found out that, although it can hurt, if I tell my sparing partner exactly what I am going t...
