I would gently and respectfully suggest that Sir Shaltar has misinterpreted the re-write or possibly is working from an older version as the version that is on the table for review says nothing about Ã‚Â½ inch padding on the throat.

Yeah, I have had brass cotter pins in my bascinet for a few years and they hold up fairly well...but...
1) I have to, occasionally re bend the backs down.
2) the hardwear store where I bought them folded up and I can't find any more.
