Re: Mac's new chest. (the short version)
First. AWESOME. I have only seen (and collected) a few small web images of this design of bed. It has always intrigued me both from the engineering aspect but also for an SCA camping aspect. Congrats on pulling this off. I know it is not an easy build. So, here are the important questions.... ----Wh...

if you look at the top of the helm it could just be the light but it looks like there is a line dead center (where the weld would be) and that is definately an emorkian helm(could be a collector item with his current trouble) Looks like a spun dome from his website: http://emorokian-arms.com/images...

Re: Man On Anvil Helmet Review -In Progress
Why would you make a mild steel "prototype"? Stainless doesn't work the same way that mild does, and I would presume that he has made helm's before. Reads to me like he got caught out doing it in mild and came up with an "explanation". Just my opinion. Or maybe he has never made a T faced Barbute b...

Like Icefalcon says, powder coat comes in almost every color, shade, and gloss level you could desire. For SCA combat armor, you can get a type called TGIC, which has some abrasive resistor added to the powder coat. I've also been able to successfully pound out dents without cracking the powder coa...

Anybody know of a source for XXL padded gloves like the ones Ice and Windrose sell?

All the sizes Ice and Windrose sells are just a bit to small for my liking.

More pics: With and Without a padded glove. Oddly enough with the padded glove they are as big as I thought. That being said I still think they are a bit flat and shallow. And "just wear a padded glove" doesn't work for me. I have fat hands and the largest padded glove that vendors like Windrose and...
