Re: Crazy Aiden's Custom Shields Emporium! UPDATED-5-28-13

Since the Ceremony was this last weekend, I can now post this. This shield was a display piece for a very good friend's elevation to Chivalry. 24x30, 3/8" thick bent plywood, stained, and covered in Canvas. Shield made by Kazimir Konstantinov, VERY nice blank. A bit thin for SCA rattan, but it would...

Go to your local pet supply place and buy the largest rawhide bone they have, soak it, take it appart, voila! Hans This is for a shield commission. I don't like using dog toys for paying clients. LTB Rawhide strip

Anyone have 3" wide rawhide strip they are willing to unload? 3-5oz, I need it to edge a shield.
I will have to measure the shield for length, but probably around 60" long or so.

OR if you don't have one that long, 2 that I can sew together?

thanks

Well the 140rnds for $160+shipping comes out to just above .87 per rnd. That is not counting shipping ot the $27 HazMat fee. And while you may not find 400rnds all together on one shelf you can certainly find ammo on the shelves.

.90 a round? Seriously? You are about 6 weeks to late to charge that kind of fear mongering price. People are starting to find FMJ ammo for normal prices on the shelves.

Re: Safety of paint in helmets?

clean the helm with a brillow pad and windex. Then fabreeze the inside. Let Dry, if the smell persists, you MAY have an issue with "off gassing" of the paint. But, I doubt it. More than likely it is some residual packing/grease compound that is creating the smell.
