Tess the Huntress: I have read all of the revamped rules on your site. I have offered input on those rules in the past, We have had this exact discussion before and I know about the rule changes. That was not my point to Christopher. My point was that as all inclusive as the SCA is/wants to be there...

ITs a wanna-be Darth Vader hat and the Samurai stole their helmet design from him and... ...oh wait. That is exactly what I was going to say, it looks like a Darth Vader helm with the face plate cut out. (personally I liked the old weasely cobra comander, not the new uber steriod bad ass version)

Society for Creative Anachronism. Not the Society of compulsive Analism. There are a lot of good people out there who want to play our game of war, some of them do not take well to the rough and tumble. I believe that we can give them a chance to play! After all we play at war, and I believe that w...

Sir Andrew Ward's Mondo Style Gauntlets. www.Calontirtrim.com sells them on commission. They are a simple 2 lame mitten style with a solid cuff attached by a leather hinge. They are cheap, strong, effective, and safe. I have had a pair for about 5 years. I looked for some pictures, but was unable to...

I believe I know what you are talking about. If we are talking about the same thing, that helm is one of Glendaur's Helms from Talon armoury.

No, I don't think they would pass SCA regs, but they are sweet fantasy gauntlets. :D

Are you planning on putting a rigid cuff on them?
Or some kind of "finishing" around the wrist area or just leave the scales hang?

very nicely done on any account.

Sooooo, how does a pebble effect an armoured opponent? I have never heard or seen anything like this on the field before. It sounds rather silly to me. I was thinking about making a center grip shield(I'm getting into the Anglo-Saxons) and was talking to a friend who said that he thought that when the shield was struck on the sides it would either pivot the shield or torque the wrist. Is that true? if so why were centergrip shields so widespread? ...
