No the tokens do NOT have to be metal. Wood could work. I am not to keen on the dowel rod idea, to easy to make them un even. But, the leather idea could work, but maybe the leather would get to expensive. Washers was an idea but I have not been able to find an outlet for them that was cheap enough....

Looking for metal disc blanks

I am out of ideas, I need 3,000 metal discs about 1inch or larger in metal. probably between 18-20ga. any metal will work. I need these for betting coins for a fundraiser. I have looked everywhere. The big problem is since this is for a fundraiser I don't want to spend $300 on the betting coins. It ...

Thats not totaly true, the other reason is less catch surface. If you hit a squire it catches, you hit a convex curved surface it glances off. the problem is Geoffrie, that it is unfair to make the 90% fighting community modify the acceptable safety gear just so the 10% fighting community can play with a different arrow. sorry, ignored the part about protection... for my money, I use cloth padding on the inside of mine. The easy method is to go buy a 100% cotton oven mitt. It's cheap, already quilted, and you get to sets of padding from one mitt. Tear the seams, and each half of the oven mitt fits in each gauntlet....
