Looking to have a Baselard made.
Hello, any bladesmiths willing to make a baselard? I am looking for a 14th century I handled style baselard with wood scale grips, and a 18 inch double edged dimond cross sectioned blade. The dagger would have to be sturdy and cappable of taking a sharp edge.

So what we can do is have a 14th century encampment that everyone should endevour to put fourth there best 14th century impression. Make sure that everyone understands that we are going to try to make this grow into a true Living history camp. Manditory items to camp for the first year would include...

I believe that with the 14th century group this endevour would not be too hard. If everyone pitched in like Cian stated and sponcered one piece of camp stuff then it would go over rather easy. For the most part a lot of us allready have the makings for a period encampment we just do so with our home...

I do the same thing. I try to match the weapons to the suit of armour I am wearing. It was once comented that a sword I was using was too blade heavy and I was not fighting as well as my oppont had been lead to believe. These statements botherd me. Normaly I fight in a high end 14th century rig with...

Its just my oppinion and I know I am part of the issue as I own one, but it seems that there are way too many clap visors. It looks like a German behord more than English and French. If you want some really good looking gauntlets, get yourself a real pair of gloves to sew in and attatch the padding under the fingers and hands. The streat hocky gloves are going to stand out quite a bit. My gauntlets are attatched only at the fingers. I have seen a set sewn the entire way down but...
