The same way we wear that style now. You have your arm harness pointed to an arming cote, with a baggy sleaved over cote. It works quite well though for SCA fighting it can be quite warm. I think part of the intrest is that it is such a large piece. I would personaly use it as a tent hanging or in my library. If you cut it up I would not think it would be so desirable.

I like my aventail. I do not like my current padded aventail. It dosent stand up as nice as the old one. I need to get the new one finished it will be much better. I have been thinking of wearing a gorget as well at wars.
