The padding is on the outside with a big patch holding it together. I have the length of it longer than at just the knees. The material is heavy linen. I have also had a pair in hemp. Both worked quite well.

I have a pair of chauses that have my knee padding sewn in. If you really wanted to have padding over your legs I would recomend doing something like that. it would need to be very light padding or it would mess with the fit. looking for seal cups

Anyone know where I could find small wooden cups that could be used as seal cups? The ones that would dangle under the parchment on a ribbon and have the wax seal inside. Something that requires slight modification would work and the price would need to be right. Thanks,

I can, I purchsed a helm off of here for around $100 Picked up a set of race face legs and arms. for around $60 and a padded shirt thing for $20ish. Used basket hilt for $20 Some scrap blue foam and leather for a kidney belt, gorget and half gauntlets. The leather would cost about $30 Heres the best...

There is a passage from a 14th century PAS that stated the perticipants could not use metal covered shields. I would try my utmost to attend a COTT with rebated steel. As long as it was within driving distance, 24 hours of road time or less I could make it. Might even be willing to go further if the prospects are really good.
