15 SCA helms in the house. At one point in time I had 32 ish helms total
(both living history and SCA) Not really a culling of the herd but more of a moving up in quality and selling off some of the simpler ones.

Stainless arms are 16" long, 11" around at the wrist, and 8" long in the vambrace.

aluminum bazubands. 12" long, 5.5" on the half wrist and 6" across at the elbow

The bands do not have an inner arm piece but that could be easily made from nice leather.

It also has to do with weight. A butted shirt will be a lot heavier than a rivited. I once wore a butted shirt for the majority of a weekend fighting. On Sunday I could barley walk. My entire riveted set, shirt, chauses and aventail are lighter than that old shirt.

The real question about how many emails and calls should be, How many calls and e-mails have the KEM recieved? It would only be normal for people to start with the people they know. Also think that only a fraction of the SCA fighters know about the changes. If there are a lot of issues now. Wait unt...
