personally I gain far more of my enjoyment in sharing what I have (shortfallings included) with others than in having those things, so I have to go with Experience over Material. Then again there has been more than once where I've only ate one meager meal a day so I could do both.

I used to submerge my lead and pewter miniatures that had terrible paint jobs in some kind of goop... Very corrosive, then I tooth brushed the last bits off. Aaron based of the drawing you posted m the butt cap is attatched via a peined tank extension. Actually probably to big of a tang extension as I ground down the extension to about 7/16" diam, and wound up having to use the torch to pien it down decent. As I had allready attached the horn scales...

a few things that will help #1 the width of the cop where the articulation rivets go, the inside of yours is far narrower than the outside. Yep no wasp waist or deep chest, but when you've a 6ft2in 280lb client you aren't going to get either that will fit. I've used such leather for shoes, it makes for comfortable shoes that wear out sooner than ones made with thicker leather. I personally think the bumps are for the bone in the wrist. To small you say for that? well remember that a guantlet gets lined with a glove inside it. With the space the glove takes up the bump doesn't need to be as big, just enough to relieve that presure on the bone.

Aarons Tomans video of hot raising a greave is a great visual of the process, the shaping isn't as extreem on vambraces as it is with greaves but the technique is the same.
