I have some brass but I don't know what to do with it as far as lettering it. ETC Go to a local stationary store and get ...

Slaine, for resins and RTV for molds look at www.micromark.com under there casting catigory, they have a couple of different r...

an update, I've made many more molds and casting refining both the details and my casting techniques. I've just a little bit more to do on the latest casting and I think I'll be ready to make a final mold and start casting. Also made a master, molds and castings for the pages that get wax, far simpl...

Re: Goooop
I used to submerge my lead and pewter miniatures that had terrible paint jobs in some kind of goop... Very corrosive, then I tooth brushed the last bits off. It would eat the plastic bases away as well as the paint, wish I could remember what it was... smelled terrible, and gloves were kind of impo...

my turn to do a knife (I blame Aaron Schnatterly)
After drooling at all the sweet knifes Aaron has made and posted recently I got thinking I should try my hand at it. Then today I was out in the shop when the power company showed up to replace the transformer at the pole and the line to my property. So I was witout pawer for a while and while enoug...

a few things that will help #1 the width of the cop where the articulation rivets go, the inside of yours is far narrower than the outside. If its say 1 1/2in between the rivets on the inside then it needs to be fairly simular distance on the other side. #2 You've got it dished to much at the point ...

It looks to me that its a articulated bevor where the chin plate is a sepperate plate that is held up by a spring pin and in the painting the pin is released and the chin plated dropped down. i'd find you a picture of an original but my dial up connection (arghhh no other choice here) is acting up a...

Yep no wasp waist or deep chest, but when you've a 6ft2in 280lb client you aren't going to get either that will fit. Besides this particular style was chosen as the armour was far more flat and blocky. I'll try to get the scanner hooked back up and post a picture of the original that is based off of...

I've used such leather for shoes, it makes for comfortable shoes that wear out sooner than ones made with thicker leather. Thin leather like what you are looking at works really well for more form fit shoes. But like I said they WILL wear out sooner. I think it would be perfect leather for gloves be...

Aarons Tomans video of hot raising a greave is a great visual of the process, the shaping isn't as extreem on vambraces as it is with greaves but the technique is the same.
