If he bought all of that from MRL he probably blew $1,000.00 to 1,200.00 plus the price of the maniquin. It's probably worth $400.00 total if you like cheap Indian armour. I especially like the American Indian-style mocs, lends an air of authenticity to the polycotton t-tunic, don't you think?

Cased greaves, cuisses, sollettes, solid breast & back with tassets, full arms & steel gorget with a close helm. The breast & back and the close helm were 16th C., with the arms & legs being 14th C. They are excellent for what they are designed for - theatrical combat in a Renn. Faire setting. I have 4 swords & 2 daggers, and we use them for edge-to-edge hollywood-style fight skits.

I thought you weren't allowed to use fibreglass as it shatters and the specs of glass-like resin can get in someones' eyes.

What's wrong with it? It starts long, stupid arguments on the Armour Archive as well as a lot of resentment for nasty comments made. Other than that, I could give a rat's ass about it.

It's as period as Master Knute's welded shirts, and would work great for combat. I have one purchased 15 years ago and it was ridiculously expensive - around $700.00 and sold as "dwarfen maille" through Museum Ripoffs. Compare that to either $179.00 or $279.00, depending on ring size, and it's quite...
