Don't discount the fact that you might be throwing your shots incorrectly. Improper form on the wrap will quickly lead to tennis elbow.

I would bet that you got it from Valentine Armouries. I think that $700 would be about right for that suit from them- maybe a little less than what they normally charge for it. It looks like it was made by Hind Handicrafts, who do most of the production work for Valentine. Most of the work from Indi...

A friend of mine bought a shield from someone in Lucan's household once, and part of the deal was that Lucan and the boys got to "paint" it.

A couple of the sayings written on there were:

"I love butt wraps"

and the ever popular

"You can't hit me hard enough your Grace"

In a vein similar to Gaston's... There is not just simply a "goob factor" in relation to victories- but also in terms of injuries. Where a skilled fighter will often land a powerful blow that leaves one more than a little sore, the beginner will often hit either an illegal target area (something tha...

A new world monkey can compete, but they have to be dressed like an old world monkey of the period. What if my New World Monkey, his name is Stan btw, wears some jaguar print Pajamas (or better yet, how about some Hello Kitty pj's)? Would that get him in past the rules? It might have happened, and ...

I used to have a set of Moric's "vambo's" which were essentially bazubands. I loved them. Maybe some of the best armor I have ever owned. A friendly Duke friend of mine borrowed them for a while, and I don't remember what happened to them. Recently, I started using 18 ga spring steel vambraces and s...

I think that this ruling takes away the ambiguosity of the wording "attempt" and replaces it with "appearance" at least in the context of heavy combat. Pictoral documentation shows us what "appearance" would look like. We can place that next to anyone standing on the field and ask the crowd there if...

It looks like this definition opens two doors: 1) Methods. Maybe we will get to start playing with some of the cooler techniques from period. 2) Marshalls will now be in charge of judging appearances on the field (even more so than they were before simply as representatives of the Crown). Perhaps th...

There is no list yet. We are working on some measures to lengthen the battle time. My personal preference (if I had to choose one) would be for more greaves. Open faced helmets can look reasonably good (look at Cuan's). Certainly an open faced helmet can look nice enough, but there is just something...

You should be able to get the real thing for like 65 bucks.

Also look at the shipping. These are punches that guys buy at harbor freight and put on line and usually just make their 10 bucks on the shipping.
