I think that all activities in the SCA are currently suffering from overscheduling (or is it underscheduling...). One issue that I think you will run into while traveling is that in many places, you won't find much of an opportunity to "just fight spear." For that matter, in some places, you could show up looking for a pole arm to borrow, and there would not be a single one in sight.

I need to weigh my CoTT rig.

I doubt it weighs over 35 lbs.

Even if it does- take the helmet as a carry on, and the weight certainly is under.

Believe it or not, I had on a chestplate and tassets under the jupon!

The chestplate was a little more fitted than the one I used last year, as I felt that one stuck out toooo far. I'll find the happy medium soon.
