Nah, I'm sure Josh is no weakling, but he has a harness that fits him well and he is in good shape which I believe are the factors that allow him to do the cartwheels. A lighter but ill-fitting harness on him would probably give him trouble.

It is pointless to argue what a "real-life enemy" would do as they were not constrained by rules. In this game you are responsible for your actions.

My suggestion is simple - 1) Make them hit like a single hand thrust. A single handed thrust to what/where? The force for a face thrust is not equal to the force for a body thrust. I don't believe there is a simple solution to the problem of combat archery when there isn't even agreement to what th...

Couple of thoughts on this matter. 1. - $35/hour is a highly competitive shop rate for a professional weld shop in the United States. 2. - It is fine to have a pre-arranged flat fee, but this fee should be arrived at through skilled estimation of man-hours involved with work, plus fees for consumabl...

I actually think the descriptions of his actions meet a good bit of the definition. I also did not call him a psychopath, I said psychopathy (which is used interchangeably with sociopathy) is what comes to mind when I see recounts of his interactions with others. I have never met him, nor interacted...

Psychopathy is what generally comes to my mind when reading about transactions with HW. Lack of a conscience in conjunction with a weak ability to defer gratification and/or control aggressive desires, often leads to antisocial behaviors. Psychopathy does not necessarily lead itself to criminal and...

14 guage is the standard for most helms. .125 is the minimum standard at about 16 guage but the metal will thin a bit when working and finishing the helm. usualy the rest of is a little bit lighter depending on local calibration and how much strain/abuse the armour goes through. Knee cops are often...

Some pictures would help, but heres my thoughts base on your description. You said its heavy leather, so that may be sufficient without the splints. What is the elbow protection made from? Sounds like its leather as well. You are not required to cover any portion of your arm other than the elbow, an...

Also, I don't think you are going to lose thickness due to compression which would result in an increase in density, rather you will spread the metal over a larger surface area, which leads to the thinning of the metal.

You make an excellent point Andrew. We tend to think of an armour smith or a blade smith as being a historical person that takes some raw material and makes a suit of armour or a sword. When in reality those works were the results of several people working in specialist capacities. It has been shown...

edit to add, do we know this armourer? Here is a line from TOMAR regarding Peter Fuller Surprisingly, Peter Fuller is relatively unknown in the arms and armour community, but his curatorial background lends his work a reproduction quality that is seldom seen.... Some of his work is shown in TOMAR.
