Baron Vlad,

Its probably best that you didn't. The heat index ended up being around 106 shortly before the fighting ended for the day. There will always be other times for cool pictures.

Request for Information about The Book of the Courtier

I am doing some research on historic texts. I am searching for information about Castiglione's The Book of the Courtier . Are there any surviving extant copies of the Italian version? Of the English translation? Of the French translation? Of any other translations? If so, where are they located? Wha...

Both tig and mig can be used for steel and for aluminum. The main difference is the shielding gas, current type, and iron used in different applications.

Here are some pages that should give you a brief overview.

How good is the coverage on the top of the knee when it is bent? It looks like you have a piece that stays in contact, but I can't see it too well because of the other parts of the armour.

A very fine job by the way.

I've seen about a half dozen people post lists like that in threads when someone new asks for advice. It is usually in response to someone suggesting DVA. I think the main point that can be gleaned from such lists is that DVA isn't the only way to buy cheap armor. I'll try to search for some of the ...

Don't forget, the rules require it to be 16 gauge in its finished state, at least the way many people interpret the rules. So if its formed through a process that thins the metal, like dishing, it will no longer be the same gauge that it was originally, so you have to start with a thicker piece, or ...
