Re: armour stand plans help?

There are lots of different armour stands (or links to them) on the archive. It really depends on what you are using it for, how sturdy does it need to be, how far does it need to break down, and your woodworking skill level.

Can you be a little more specific with what you are looking for?

Re: Opinions wanted on my proposed arms

So, between yours and Cara de Lorraine's, you've got a difference of position -- hers has both forefeet up and head looking back over the critter's shoulder -- and a difference of color, for two CD's, plus the chief on the top for yet another CD. No problem with conflicts from that quarter. You'd c...

My Blazon-fu has weakened over time.

Here is an initial stab at it:

"Per chevron gules and sable, a chevron ermine fimbriated between two crosses moline and a two headed eagle displayed Or."

I have used nothing but polypropylene at practice for the last four years. I generally use rattan in tournaments because it hits harder on some shots. They usually last me about six months (six weeks with rattan). The one I am using now is 14 months old. I’ve won two crowns since I started practici...

How much for a T Stake without the upturned end (simple one, just straight)?

PS. I bought a beginner tool set from you, but haven't had a chance to play with it yet. As soon as I get home from deployment, I will be beginning to learn to use it!!

Re: Semi OT: Best meal to eat (for recovery) after fighting?

If you care to, go to your local GNC type store and get Amino Acid pills (basically already broken down protiens). Helps a lot with quick recovery. The enzymes of the small intestine break down all protein consumed into it's constituent amino acids before the amino acids are transferred across the ...

Scenario 1) Assume fighting in the morning, a luncheon meal, and no fighting planned for the rest of the day. Scenario 2) Assume fighting in the morning, a luncheon meal, followed by fighting in the afternoon...

I still don't see the need for a plastic hilt. I also fight with a tip heavy sword (and a metal hilt), so I can understand where a metal hilt ...
