Sugarloaf vs Bascinet

Might be splitting hairs, but . . .

What are the differences between a Visored Sugarloaf and a Visored Bascinet?

Were they both in existance in the early portion of the 14th century (pre-1330)?

Re: Resurrection & the undead in period

The entire theme of the Danse Macabre, and the meetings between the dead and living has absolutely nothing to do with "evading death", I don't know where such a notion came from, it certainly isn't historical. The theme of both of these is the inevibility of death, that we are all mortal, and we wi...

Re: Resurrection & the undead in period

Respectfully -- Danse Macabre is the opposite of what is wanted - it is the mortals dancing towards the grave. I respectfully counter that Danse Macabre is not mortals dancing toward the grave . . . it is mortals evading death (and evil). Plagues were ravaging medieval Europe at the time and death ...

the one thing I had seen on a armorers site that I wish they could and would do was a progress update that one armorer was doing dayley, this would let the costumer know where they where at in the progress of there order. something as simple as john smith 75% bob brown 8% would be so refreshing. Re: Resurrection & the undead in period

Danse Macabre http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_dance It was a common theme in the late 14th - early 15th century. Center your event/tournament around themes of Good vs Evil, light vs. dark, etc. Also, you might try to PM Sir Mons (aka 'Munz' on the archive) as Danse Macabre was the theme of the Pa...

I agree with Sir Johann.

Find someone in the local area who can weld and make the changes that Sir Johann suggested. I don't think it would affect the aesthetics of the helm at all.

Are the C-belt from Pitbull Armory and a set of padded linen cuisses from Steel Mastery still available?

If so, is the C-Belt adjustable to a smaller size (42"-ish)?

Silly mead question here . . . I came across a bottle of mead (from the initial fermentation) that got "lost" in the garage. It doesn't appear to be growing any "science experiments". I honestly cant tell you how long it is been in its dark, lonely place, but it is at least 2-3 years. I've heard tha...
