I use old school mousepads for my arms. If you can find the older, thicker ones, thats good. If not, the newer foamy mousepads are good (just don't get the ones with the 'hard' top).

As far as I know, no single contestant has EVER worn armor before. Sir Luther, Landon Morris has worn armour before (he is a SCAdian and lived in Caid for a while), but not this type of Armour. All I have seen of the show is some of the pictures on the Shows Website (All but blocked here in Kuwait)...
