Nice stone grey cottonblend (similar to Polarfleece) outer and 100% cotton liner. Its very warm and with winter almost upon us....


Only worn to a couple events 65 bucks shipped This is very nice cloak. Damn near 50 bucks in material alone.

Ok I am looking for period correct buckles to strap my new 14th cent harness. I need about 10 to 16 buckles. Any sources for a reasonably priced buckles, out of bronze and or brass. I dont want anything made from pewter.

Cat Brownells makes a solution for browning gun barrels. It works the same way that gun blueing works. Ignore the sallet and barbute suggestions, as they are 15th century helmets. Kettle hats, and bascinets are by far the most common helmets depicted in 14th century imagery.

Bone Buckles?

I have been making some bone buckles recently using extant medieval buckles as patterns. I was wondering is bone a proper material for medieval buckles? I know I have seen some Roman thru Dark Ages ones, but not medieval.
