WTS 17/18th Century Doglock Musket
Doglock musket from Loyalist Arms that has been heavily reworked. The barrel has been browned along with the lock and the lock has been tuned for better operation. I have replaced the rammer thimbles with thin sheet brass thimbles and tapered the ramrod channel with correct style rammer. The buttsto...

I would love to sell it to you, Agnarr. My soul is in debt to a dealer who owns the sexiest little Hershel House trade gun you have ever seen.

Could you please give some more infor on the tunics? Size, color, etc. Pictures? Roman tunics were typically @#$%ing large. Meaning they will fit anyone from a 38 chest to a 50 inch chest. These are that size Off hand, I think there is a faded red linen tunic with black clavi and a brownand grey he...

Made by myself several years ago. The blade is hand forged (I think leaf spring) with hand filed final polish. Hilt is copied from pieces recovered at Vindonissa in Switzerland, walnut cross and walnut pommel. The grip is made from light colored maple. Scabbard is constructed of two pieces of basswo...

Some Thoughts On The Authenticity
This essay is geared towards 18th century re-enactors, but it can easily be applied to other periods. Lots of interesting thoughts written here that could improve each and everyone of us. A Modest Proposal ?: Some Thoughts On The Authenticity By Alan Gutchess I am continually amazed by the fervor th...

Yup, that will work, but constructing a tent over the ammonia and brass will give you better results. You can do this by rolling up a cone of construction paper or poster board. If you are careful, you can heat the ammonia and get even better results. This is highly dangerous if you breath the fumes...

I love the look, they are completely correct for me, but I can't stand how hot they make my feet. The LAST thing I need is more insulation, with the exception of the rare times I've been winter camping with the good folks in the U.P. I need to find a less warm option. If you are wearing them on you...

Deepeeka Scutum
Got one of my first scuti out in the garage and I thought I would pass it along to someone who could use it. Its like the one in this pic, but shows some wear and tear. I will get the exact measurements, but I think its on the smaller side around 26x38. The boss on mine has been reshaped and is made...

Thanks Gordon! Wade, This is exactly the look I was aiming for with this kit. I believe I will do without the band, but I will have a black bowl with a white crest and roped edge on the brim. I believe Mark was able to study some of your pieces several months ago. So, I think this will mimic one of ...

Black and White Armour Question
I know that B&W armours hayday was deeply rooted in the 16th century. However, I am curious if it was still in use during the first quarter of the 17th century? I have seen examples of B&W morions dated to the first quarter of the 17th century, but I am leary of the dating.

The experience was extremely positive. The event was held at a castle that was originally built ...
