Has anyone here made a proper buff coat? If so, what were your sources for leather and what pattern did you use?

Complain about the costuming, but the acting and the story is fantastic. One of the better "Medieval" movies to come out in a long time IMHO. Plus, I am deeply in lust with Hayley Atwil...that girl can do no wrong! Jack Jackson is a spitting image of our former poster Doug Confere....so mu...

Since there is a 99.9% chance these are Soviet refurbs (being from Big 5), there is a very slim chance they would bear any Finn issue markings.

Guys...I am sorry for the mix-up here. I edited the post day before yesterday to reflect that the sword has been sold. There must have been a hiccup in the server.

Sorry, but it has been sold.

Sha-ul, I am not sure if this is based on an existing piece or if it is just made in the style.

For those that know me on here, I tend to get obsessive about new kits occasionally. Several months’ back, I got it in my head that I was going to complete a ECW kit. Late 16th Early 17th Century Headwear

Digging through images of this period, I am starting to notice a trend for headgear being black, mainly felt hats of the period. Flittie,

It seems pretty straight forward to me and IMHO it can be done with minimal tooling and skill set. If you can cut cloth to make a doublet, you should have no problems whatsoever cutting 16 to 18 gauge steel and fitting it to this helmet.

I am not familiar with SCA specs on these helmets. But I found this page a few weeks back, while searching for photos of morions.

I hope this will give you a better idea how easy it would be to modify one of these helmets.
