why not just do your own vershion of tomar?
tecneaks of armour construction. althought make shure to include a big section on tool construction. or modifcation of tools to the lefties.

loos like an old theater piece to me. holes tend to loss there roundness when you acumalate that much rust. the patina is a lttle to even for my taste. and the rivets that held the spangens are a little to small compated to the holes that held on the crest. it also looks to be around 18 guage steel.

where did you come up with fencing staples?
I have sceen them sewn on like described above.
and also the glove punched and links going through the holes.
both as seperate methods.
I think neddle and thread are your best bets.

forget the aluminum sheet use it as it is or trade it for somthing else. the aluminum can have bad effects on you from dealing with the powder to much. as for the shear get as much use out of it as you can before its to late.

ceramic plates. alumina if I rember right. take a lot of impact to break. fractures as aposed to shatering. kevlar underneath to absorbe and distribute more force. still only last one mine. but the ceamic plates can be changed out and the kevlar jacket can be made sectional. so only the damaged part...

star fire is a good supplyer
base your equipment standards of an exsting group it will save you time. if its just you and your budds thats fine once you start enviting other people you will need to shell out the money for insurance

need a new card once that one expires.
reauth process is usualy abreveated to when you last faught or maybe a quick bout. usualy does not require you to autherize all over again in every weapon but it can.

for sca combat mail will offer little protection aginst mass weapons. ie all rattan weapons all thougth mail looks nice and makes good garb. or an outer shell over some thing a little more solid to absorbe/distribute the impact of mass weapons

as for protection they work well.
usualy dont take to long to make a set that meet the requirments for protection and can easaly be dressed up with a flute or design on the wing.
its a good part to start with because it covers most of the very basic skills to working with steel.

in melee bad form in singles ask the guy your fighting. most of us would rather have a better fight. you should take it as a kill if your not confortable fighting with your off hand.
after all its when your not confortable when things go horibly wrong.
