go for an inclosed thumb.
mass is not much of an problem because you should not get hit with out a weapon in hand.

the older style cloth varity when working with bone. usualy somthing more when working with steel. always good ventalation for welding.

linnin silk duck triger poplin all should work well and if you shop around you can usualy get at under 6 bucks a yard.
stick with 100% natral matereals thought. any poly pr nylon will cook you and wear out a lot faster

the fastest it to put all the plates in a cement mixer with a corse grit or have them bead blasted or even sand. shake table would also work well.

check the manufacur site if it is a b3 it will handle a lot more then 16 guage.
the handle is easy to manufacture.
if I rember the only problem with the b3 is the inside curves are not quite as tite as the b2. but If I rember right it will also cut 1/4 mild and 3/32 stainless.

there are a few options. I think there is an essay on it the covers it better then I could but hears a shot at it. your best bet is to find a good jigsaw and take you time or find some one with a plasma cutter. better still find the nearest armour with a beverly shear and set up a time to work on it...

actualy they were never legal as blunts. but they have been used to reinforce the nock ends of goof tubes aka gulf tube arrows.

very generalized and a lot of blanket statments.
also referancing sca sites can contain valid referances but I dont think carodocks missalany is one of them. also the graf was set up very sloppy jubled and cluttered.
