I find that using sadle soap helps a lot at elimanating mold oder. if mixed with glycern at about a 20 to 35% mix will leave a nice shine and help repel the water.

when was the last time you had a weld inspected? this ruleing it to provide an out line as to how it should be done. the easy is to weld a bead on the inside of the helm grind the joint and then lay another bead on the out side. or just go with an open root weld its a little tricky with a domed surf...

look for somthing that will also handle regular wire also. the fluxcore is a bit more expencive and requires a lot more post weld clean up.
althought for that price it is a little hard to pass up.

I have sceen simmalur decay in some plastic body armour. instead of being abs it acts more like a cheep plastick lawn chair. usualy acompanyed by what would look like termite trails on the surface.

usualy taking and incresing the leverage by extending the fulcrum arm. ie using a longer wrench to move that rusted nut.

it all depends on your shop removing rust before is easyer but if things tend to gather a little rust you may as well wait till yoru finished. scouring pads work well but I favor the scrubbie drill atachment. dont weld aginst concreat or cinderblocks.
use proper shade. to light is not good and will leave you with pain but so will to dark of a shade.

you may want to use rubercement or 3M contact adheasive to paly the leather and then a layer of straping tap.
also the thrusting tips may be a little hard to do because of the proxcimity of the other tips but still do able.

for vegitable oils soak it in high proof alcohal use rubbing alchohal.
I have used this process to extract plant oils so it should work for patrolium products but it is untested so let me know how it works out.

friend of mine is looking for loom blue prints. after getting a little damaged he is unable to fight heavey for a while or even work on leather or chain mail.
so to make it up to him he is looking to start weaving.

maniged to burn off a scrub shirt last year due to grinder sparks and learning to mig overhead.
it was kind of cool to it did not ignight in to flames it just started to glow a nice cherry red.

btw you may want to pick up a pair of insulated carharts if you want to go play in the snow again.

I think that the chemical properties would not change untill after around 700 but I could be wrong.
