what game do you play? the cold working properties can very greatly depending on the chemical work up of the metal and the temper. to anneal the stainless heat it to a red and the quench. there are other materals avalible. bone, wood, rope, fabric. rope works well but can be a bit bulky. not quite shure what the proces is called but fabric can be glued and stiffend. check the local high way department or junk yard most will have street signs or sheet metal. ask aome one in your group...

lens are cheep go to the dealer and pick up A 10 and a 12 the ten should do it but if you have light colored eyes you may want to start with the 12. does your welder have a hook up for gas? if so start wit regular mig.
