The war was fun and yet a bit confusing to say the least. Too much down time IMO, but it was a first try with new ideas. I am looking forward to next year. The big disappointment for me was the lack of pickup fights. 1500 to 1800 fighters and maybe 40 to 60 on the field for pick ups WTF!!! This is b...

Get your ass Knighted...... or simply win crown twice between now and then... Good to see you again as well. Sean, without hesitation gave me one of his swords to use when he had heard mine walked off. Thank you Sean. But put this old feeble man on your dance card for Gulf Wars it would be fun. See ...

I am looking into a Knights or maybe a Duke's fighter practice on maybe Thursday in the fort. I had fun at Pennsic even thoug...

Johno, I think we will always get individuals that will try to skirt the rules. We need to severely punish them. Over the years how many crazy thing have failed inspection clearly not allowed in the rule book. Heck some of it even passed and was found later to be illegal. We need to express how impo...

You owed it to your King to find out. The shame......... Thor. Joking , mostly. I once had to hire some Merc's and do the bargaining because I was the baronial champion for my barony. I was thinking of doing some schtick with them, or something like that, but every concept ended up with me hacking a...

I dont believe I was on for that part. I wonder what kind of head was on that shaft to start. It is pretty hard to get a Baldar blunt off of a shaft. They use glue and tape to affix them in to place ? Glue is primary tape is a second safety crisscrossing over the head then wrapped around the bottom ...

Balin, If the one you are talking about is my old squire brother Richard it had nothing to do with the Fiberglass shafts we use today. It was a much smaller fiberglass shaft with a PVC piece glued on to the tail end, it's what shattered and hit hit him in the eye (the PVC) Now we have APD's to stop ...

Duchess Tessa, Do you know of any incidents like this. Thor. Damn more blunt types? OK shoot blunts at me all day long that's cool. Just don't put them on rigid shafts of fiberglass. Those things are dangerous. fail. what do you base your statement of the safety of fiberglass shafts on? I am not awa...

And you think any other single hand sword strike would disable a person when struck on armor? Really? I have seen your normal kit I dont think it would be very easy to hurt you in armor with a sword. I would be more inclined to hip toss you to the ground and finish with a dagger. Thor. @Leo: Are you...

Re: Controlling your mind
I start every Tournament cold, no warm up. I have won a lot of them that way. At practice I try to do 10 bouts with everyone there. The first and last are the ones I want to win, 2 through 9 are training bouts only. It has worked for me. I try not to listen to music for motivating because you will n...

Think of what you are going to bring back from England Thor. My teachers keep telling me to sing or hum under my breath. The music helps one to relax. Close your eyes and think of England? '' Sorry... humming under the breath just created a mental association with Austin Powers, I suppose. ...
