Now Thats leather scale. Impressive construction and attention to detail. I am very impressed on how you riveted the backing and the wool is a great idea. If I wasn't already invested in making my scale shirt I would be very interested in such a fine set of Scale Armor.

Does anyone know a good source of Stainless wire that will fit a .1875 hole nice and snug? I went to Home Depot and they had Galvanized wire, but not stainless. Any suggestions would be great.

That was a very interesting article and well thought out. Thank you for showing this it was very informative. The conclusions make a alot of sense and how he had great close up pictures of the ancient statues and how he studied the seams is most impressive.

I am presently trying to make a Scale guantlet or half gauntlet to reduce the anachronism for my later period persona. I presently use leather half gauntlets and they work fine. I haven't perefected this yeat but hopefully I will get them looking good and be protective as well.
