Nice helm Greg, but I'm afraid Sauron didn't wear one like that - not enough spikes! I think you're right about the price. I don't know enough about it to talk of the quality. Nice Pics Egfroth. Like your helms on your site by the way. Whats up with the NVG garrison in london - email addy doesn't wo...

And the period/culture is.......
I think this would be fitting for a Volga-Bulgar Cavalryman (12th/13th)or possibly something Turkish or Byzantine. So, put me right! http://armourandcastings.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=53 Nikolskoye is apparently in Kazakhstan (but was only founded in 1826) OR on Bering Island, off Kam...

Now, I like this - very unusual, but quite spiffy!
SO, culture/period that it is closest to? (if any?)

Obviously one doesn't put ones whole strength and weight into it - that is not sensible sword play, but it's stil...

Still like this style of helm though - http://www.samarkandia.com/en/produit-2_36.php Now, I know thats a bit late for the period I want (9th - 11th) so, who does helms similar to this that are suitable for a Byzantine or Byzantine...

Greg - your kit would at least be historically accurate in design, if not materials. That.......person....is in no way historically accurate. It's a sword-wielding Aztec ninja death-dealer with leopard print pyjamas. I wouldn't be suprised if he shoots lazer beams out of his eyes. The possibility of...
