As for the cuisses I would suggest this version They look good yes, but why do you suggest these? are they more accurate? or better quality? I prefer full leg pieces (or is it better to say "cuisses"?) with sabatons, or were these uncommon in 15th century Gothic harnesses? Well the quality would pr...

Re: Thanks for the input;
As far as the paint ball on the tip ... well it was a voice of aggravation coming to the surface , for in the heat of battle I have repeativally shot a Heavy in the Helm to only have them look around for a moment and continue as if nothing had happened. One would imagine that this is due to the fac...

Hi Mike, On reflection that thought occurred to me to. I think I've got what resembles an oversized ball-bearing, about 2 1/2 inch dia, perhaps I can get that welded to a stake. Need to source some steel too. If I was still in Cardiff, no probs, but suppliers low on ground in Rural Somerset! Wherabo...

Anything that's a must have?
If your anvil does not say ACME on the side, it is defective.

GOT ANVIL!! :)
Well, sorted out deal for anvil. Waiting for it to be delivered. IIRC it's about 100lbs, double bicked with pritchel and hardie holes. All for the princely sum of 20 quid - approx $45. Since I got hold of a very nice, old ball pein hammer - 2 lbs - from a pile of junk that someone had stuck outside ...

The standard was additional protection under the bevor. The fauld fulfills a double purpose - protection of the groin and upper thighs/buttocks , especia...

You'd probably have a maille standard, voiders and fauld, I believe, in conjunction with your plate.
Here is GDFB page with Will West showing his....

Hells Teeth!!
Wasn't sure wether to post here or on off-topics. This is from a Ukrainian Armoury's forum and is babel-fished, so I'm not sure what's what, but it appears that this is re-enactment related. Not going to post here but here's the thread link (WARNING - GRAPHIC INJURY PICTURE!!) http://babelfish.altav...
