This might be the fanciest hat that I have found. Cool armour too especially where it shows the pauldron rivets.

wearing Azon mail

I have a shirt and wear it under my plate or CoP from time to time. It is holding up much better than butted mail would but, because of the small link size, not as well as Master Knut's or a good riveted mail. On the other hand, they do have a one price ($29.95?) repair service. Mine is getting pret...

If you want to try out your medieval (or modern) fishing gear, this is the place to do it! A 7-day nonresident fishing license is only 30 bucks, and if you can't catch fish in Barkley Lake you couldn't catch them at a fishmonger's stall either. There's smallmouth, largemouth, and Kentucky bass, whi...

or you could put your effort into helping

I think the usual dating of the Lewis chessmen is 12th century. Look at the kettle hats and flat-topped shields: 11th century would be too early. The armour on the set looks earlier to me. The brimmed helms, like square topped shields, have been around a while: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y199...

Re: Charlemagne chess set

This is one of Charlemagne's chess pieces with a kite shield from about 800. I think that set dates from...

I just do not want to deal with ebay so here is the deal before I send it to ebay.
