home defense?
m There is quite a bit of stigma attached to crossbows in some areas for various reasons. Crossbows rarely stop a person instead they bleed them out which police often overreact to. You might want to look into a nice, inexpensive, reliable pump 12ga for home defense and some bird shot that won't mak...

m Viscount Sir Baron Georg of Glaciers Edge is there in Eagle River with you and does a bit of armouring so he probably has an anvil or such. 337-8017 is his number. He might even have a better armourer or mail knitter to recommend. Did you make it to "Time for Tudor" the other weekend? Pr...

Re: AD&D
I am sorry, I did not mean to imply that "transitional" was a no-no term just that I do not hear it used much in recent years. If I used it up here I would get trout-looks from most fighters; it is locally fashionable to refer to armour by century then nationality such as "15th centur...

AD&D

The battles Saturday were fun. We had a "target rich environment" and worthy opponents. Much beating, stabbing, and drowning. Living in a rain forest I was a little taken by it being in a desert (yes, I heard that deserts have to get less than 10" of rain while there was 14" ther...
