Remember to order a size larger than you think.
They are sized by the shirt company who expects them to stretch.
Zoombang sews so many pads on the SCA version that it doesn't stretch much.

Just ask for the SCA rod cut into 3 pieces 40" long each. From Barry Ellison at Brast Industries: As the 1.25" dia polypropylene rod is a non-stock item for us, we do not have an assigned part number of it. Should you have anyone needing to inquire about purchasing it in the future, they w...

So, not quite $12 each.

There are several hundred out there and as long as they break without injury that's fine from an SCA standpoint.
I woyuld save the pieces and gety a refund or something if it really breaks that early in it's life.
I've had several pieces of rattan that broke the first period of use too.

Re: Ages of Rapier?
Well, first you'd have to agree on exactly what the defenition of "Rapier" is... Personally, I think of the heyday of what I consider rapier to be roughly 1550-1650. Others will claim a much wider date- into the late 14 or even 1300's. They would be no less correct than I. I just meant th...

Re: Zoombang V SCA MIn Kidney Protection Data
Guys, one clarification.
The Zoombang material meets the SCA min Kidney protection spec.
It can be sewn into another shirt, you can buy the shirt with only Kidney/ribs and nothing else, etc...
As long as the kidneys are completely covered, as with ANY type of kidney protecting armor, you are fine.

I would also remind people to remember that this is a MINIMUM standard and that additional rigid material over this standard is recommended.
