with a larger diameter pistons it takes too long to fill and evacuate the cylender which slows it down. also with a smaller diameter piston you will get more upward travel distance with a heavy hammer because it takes it longer for the piston to stop it after the trip sensor triggers. with more heig...

soft large head aluminum rivets rock as leather rivets. Easy to peen and less chance to bend over to the side like harder steel rivets.

ok wow so you want to basically completely incase your hand except the ring and pinky fingers in steel and those would be articulated and as enclosed as possible.

May i ask what this is for so i can get more of an idea how strong and overly built i would need to make it.

ok so you want the thumb, index and middle fingers to not articulate and stay at the position shown in your pic and then 2 articulated fingers for the others. Did you want just the top of the fingers and not on the inside. What type of wrist(if any) and what type of metal and what type of finish.

nice sword but it doesnt have a handle or scabbard. I have gone 14th century for my tourney persona so the only reason to get a bronze sword would be if my friend who is greek persona won crown.

I would gladly entertain other trades.

WTS aluminum pavise shield 24 by 31.5(sold)

I made myself an aluminum pavise out of 0.100 thick 6061 t6 aluminum and i welded it together down the middle. It also has a welded on boss and welded on half inch thick aluminum bar stock for edging,so no need for any other edging. I used this shield several times and realized i am just a center mo...

its hung ok on the sides and the back but it kinda looks like too much was cut off the front. you can see the horizontal rows staying even until the front then they curve upwards. that makes the back wanna pull forward.

Amalric,i would use 0.100 thickness aluminum for everything thats gonna get hit in sca combat often and complex formed. some parts that are overlapping plates dont always need to be as thick.

LF a pexto plate,mine broke

I have a pexto plate thats like 30inches by like 15inches and its at min a half an inch thick and it broke today. I believe it was designed poorly and it was cast from pretty crappy metal. So now i am trying to find a replacement.

Lookin for a source for 410 stainless steel

Mcmaster carr is the cheapest i have found so far but they only sell max size of 12"by 24" peices. I need at least to be able to get 2ft by 2ft.

I also got http://www.onlinemetals.com/ and its really expensive.

i make alot of shields in my armory and i use 0.100 because its gonna last, anything lighter is gonna need reinforcements. Not much need to go thicker unless the design of the shield is gonna have multiple spots that are gonna easily bend.
