Re: Mixed Review =) includes Duke Ice, GuntherofOrkney, Barn
the pauldrons cant take a hit like my normal gear because i didnt form them but i finished and polished them. i like to use .125 thick 5052 or .100/.090 in 6061 which both are very tough. just like any aluminum they are gonna scratch easy so alot of people just want stuff satin finished so the scrat...

WTS Alum soupcan elbows
I made a set of soupcan styled elbows with a center crease as a prototype to see how it would work while using 5052 0.125 thick aluminum. well it worked out great. mainly i was checking how hard it would be compared to the 6061 0.100 alum that i normally use and its not quite as hard but its still h...

my new mushroom stake
Today i finished up my new sort of mushroom stake. its made out of 1/2" thick hot rolled mild steel which is 5" by 5" square. I heated it up in the forge and dished it with the powered hammer then i welded a 15" long piece of square bar to it. I like the corners on it so i think i will leave them on...

its not gonna work out with andrea so this is still for sale. This armor can be made to be alittle smaller or larger for the person that buys it,if larger i can add in some to the sides and add in more aluminum to make sure its still fully protective.

Re: Want to progress a bit... in quality/appearance
just as johnathan says the clean up is a bitch. what i do is i will make a plate thats like 3/4" wide and follows the opening of the face then weld a bar along the edge of that then i weld the face bars to that. that reduces cleanup some and gives a very clean look to the grills. as for the welder y...
