Stuff for sale SOLD

Hey guys, My kids just got their school suppliy lists, and they also reminded me that they are going to need new clothes. So, in order to raise some money, I am selling these things. I really hate to let these go as I had plans for all of them, but such is life. Ok, here is a group shot of the items...

Paging Leviathan

Hey there, I tried to send you a PM, but it's still in my out box. I figure your inbox must be full. Anyway, I had a question about the hauberk arm holes. If the PM doesn't go through by tomorrow, I will copy and past all of the stuff here, and if you have time to answer that would be greatly apprec...

I will refrain from bidding at this point as my bid would be insultingly low due to the fact that I don't have any $$. I will see what I can come up with before the auction ends on the 15th, and possibly place a bid at that time, if I can get a decent amount gathered to make a decent bid.

Awwwwwww - that little tiny helm is ADORABLE! Very nice! I do have a question about the great bascinet though. How does the integrated gorget (? - the pieces that extend down the back and chest ? ) affect movement of the head? It looks to me like it would be hard to turn your head. I also noticed th...

Is anyone here merchanting at the Ohio Renn Fest?

Hey guys,
I just thought I'd ask to see if anyone will be at that event. I don't know if you all go to those kind of events or not, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. I just thought it would be nice to meet up if I end up going.

He said they had used them as rails for pallets or something, and this piece was a chunk they were going to throw out. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. I thought he had gotte...

I've got one similar to what you are describing. It looks like a miniature "I" beam that you would see in a house, but it isn't much thicker than what you described. The piece I have is about a foot and a half long and weighs a couple of pounds or so. My dad gave it to me, so I will ask him where he...

I have a question that goes along with this. I agree that 14 gauge steel, 5/16" rings look really good, in fact that's my favorite combination (for looks), but it's just too heavy for me. A shirt done in that size would be VERY heavy, and I doubt I could wear it for very long. Of course, dealing with all that extra weight is something that peo...

From what I can remember, it seems to me that the maille runs in weird directions on those ventails. Of course, this could simply be the way the artists drew them. They seem to cup around the chin, too. I wish I could help you, but I have yet to figure it out myself.

Good luck!

As an additional warning to those listed above, you can also DIE from the fumes emitted from the heating/burning of galvanized (zinc coated) steel. An armourer just died in May from metal poisoning when he put glav. pipe (I believe) in his forge. I can't remember the title of the post, but it was on...

I thought of a couple questions. First, do these formulas leave enough room to accomodate padding, as in a long sleeve gambeson? And second, do you taper BOTH sides of the sleeve, or do you make it exactly like it is in the picture, with one side straight and one side tapered? I know I had other que...
