UPDATED INFO

For further clarification and to avoid confusion, I thought I had better add in this bit of information. I will be opening 3 slots on Friday, April 29th at 12 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. At this time, I will modify my site to declare that the slots are open, and at THAT point, I will begin accepting...

Brother Logan, Thank you very much for the words of support! I am SO glad I didn't end up offending EVERYONE with that rant. I'm sure it had to have rubbed some people the wrong way, although that wasn't my intention. It was more of a "Hey, I'm doing the best I can" kinda thing. The support I have b...

M.Lancelot, Those things sound do-able. Shoot me an email and hopefully we can work out the details before the slots open. That way I can let you know for sure if I can make them so that they do what you need them to do. Then you will know if you want to try for a slot or not. If I find I CAN'T do i...

Hey there,
I just wanted to say that I am sorry you are in the situation that you are. I wish there was something I could do. I don't have the cash to spend, or I would certainly buy something. I wish you luck, and again I am sorry I can't help at the moment.

First, let me say thank you for your very kind comments, although I don't know if I share your confidence. Yes, I could do something like that, depending on how it needs to function. I'm thinking what you're looking for is basically some rectangles that wouldn't have any function ( an elbow piece, f...

Due to some concerns that this type of announcement is unfair and more like a lottery than an ordering process, I will tell you all that I will be taking new commissions on Friday the 29th. You may email me anytime on Friday. Beyond that, I just don't know what else to do to make it fair. What I CAN...

No, I didn't get it fixed, but I bought a new one. We're gonna try to recover data from the old one though, and if the hard drive turns out not to be bad, we will re format and give that PC to the kids as their's is a piece-o-crap-o. Once we get them set up with their "new" PC, they will NOT be gett...

I don't have one, and I don't normally work in that material, but I imagine that 18 gauge in 3/8" size will probably fall apart, even in stainless. Like I said, I don't normally work in that material so I could be wrong. I would suggest getting some opinions on that before buying one.

Try a local scrap yard or junk yard. That's where I got mine for something like 20 cents a pound. I had to ask one of the guys to cut it off for me, and although I don't think he wanted too, he did it so I tipped him. Try to find one that isn't really pitted in the bottom (like mine was) because you...

Can you perform "surgery" on it? Like maybe split it open with an Exacto knife or something (cut where it won't be seen) and remove some of the stuffing? You could re sew the cut closed after you've taken some out. Just a thought.

Konstantin, Thanks for your reply and help. I think I will go ahead and add gussets instead of expanding it because it seems to me that will save on weight. At least it seems so in theory. I added about 5" to the waist measurement, but I will go back and tack on another 5 just to be on the safe side...

Ok, I'm about to start on this tonight, so I just wanted to double check for other opinions. Should I do the gussets, or just add about 12" extra to the actual measurement and then let the person put in slits if he finds it necessary?

Thanks,

eoghan_mw, Best of luck with that. I truly hope it works out for you. A review after production use would also be great! Bascot, Thanks for the reply. I guess "circle" was an improper term. It will be more of a "tube", like the bottom of a shirt. Triangles would be a good alternative to slits. Thanks for that suggestion! How big should the base of the triangles (gussets) be? Maybe 6" each if I add in two of them, or m...

Question about maille faulds

Hey there, I've got a question on sizing for maille faulds. If I were to make a fauld that was one complete circle (as opposed to a seperate front piece and a seperate back piece), how much extra should I add to the actual measurement? It will most likely hit around mid thigh or so, and there needs ...

Hal, This could be a good deal, depending on what the buyer intends to buy it for. If it's to save money on buying a completed one, you might run into problems if the helm needs welding when it's ready for final assembly. That will add to the cost. If it's a bascinet type helm, I've seen those for a...
