How did I choose my heraldic device? Badly. I would suggest you look at a couple of books on the subject ("Heraldry" by Neubecker is good), before you talk to a herald. This assumes you're in the SCA (sorry if you're not and please excuse my presumption).

After a quick search, I found this: Bullough, V.L. "Transvestites in the Middle Ages." "The American Journal of Sociology (periodical)" Vol. 79, #6 (May, 1974), pp 1381-1394. There were lots of listings about cross-dressing in Shakespeare when I did the search (on JSTOR), but this is not a surprise....

I like to fight. The tourney format is unimportant. Single-elim, Double-elim, holmgang, bear-pit, points, torch-light (as long as there's enough light) warlord or melee, it doesn't really matter to me. I like pick-up fights too.

Once a year the East Kingdom has an event called "100 Minutes War." The event is a resurrection battle that is 100 minutes in middle of November. It's usually either freezing or muddy or both. Great fun.
