The study of sources, whether you call them primary or not (I have a very strict definition and use for the term, but I'll not get into that), allows you to decide for yourself just what is going on and what the fact of whatever matter is. This logic sounds all very simple and neat, however, if a so...

"Eater's of the Dead" is an interesting fictional take on "Beowulf." It's also the basis for the movie "The 13th warrior" which most folks hold in comtempt. I would use neither for your persona until you have read deeply into anthropology, archaeology, and literature (especially the "oral-formuliac ...

Ok, where was I...

The leftie is also too far forward, and his shield looks out of place (too far away from his body). Also his left elbow is just begging to get whacked as much as his left leg.

You've got a rightie against a leftie.

The rightie looks too far forward. His right leg should be further back. His shield looks ok, but I really can't tell. Also, he's holding his sword up off his shoulder--too much energy wasted there.

Gotta go

Wilmot - you may also want to go back and reread your first post on this topic, and consider how insulting it would sound to anybody whose main interest lies in A&S. I couldn't agree with Ny Bjorn more. The problem with metal detecting treasure seekers and hobbyist is that they are too eager to dig whatever up. Such digging is often ill-planned and poorly done. The right answer is "we don't know". But as well as leather laces, our ancestors were quite capable of making cord of either silk or wool using "french knitting" (the lucet or twinningbein ) I agree--we don't know.
