He has a variety of bucklers styles and I own several shields of his and they are awesome! Go to the site and click the past projects to see alot of his shields. H...

Is this the show that had a series of days where they were Vikings and Romans and Knights? They had teams from the UK and from the USA.
If so I think I have that one taped. I will look for it.

If I remember Glen K posted a very good link to a site on lances and thier consrtuction aligning to time periods? I think he might be the one to ask on this. I will search for it to see if I can find it as well. Lances were varies lengths in time perods and countries so it is difficult to answer. I ...

3/4 in plywood with a thick sheet of leather over the front and tacked down over the edges on the backside. Glue it down as well. Drill holes straight thru the wood and leather for strapping by cord method or just thru the back for other strapping. You can even paint the leather with your arms. Look...

It was very period to have a squire at the end of the tilt rail to recieve the horse ask if everything is still "in place" and lead your steed around to the next pass while you get your reins back. this is all done relativly quickly. Sorta like the Medieval "pit stop" Logan- I would suggest makeing ...

is the USA IJA "man in the know" I am sure he would not mind directing you to teh right place to see the armour req. He can also make the kit for you. This way there would be no worries about it not passing ;-) As well as being a very sharp looking, well functioning kit to boot.

I think the "holding onto the reins" thing is a product of tilting with an untrained horse as well as a person who is not confident enough. I got to the point of dropping my reins fairly soon but one of the horses I was using did not like to stop at the end of the list. that is even with a counterli...

16 G mild helm for sale cheap

What I have is a 16 G mild bascinet with a globose side hinged visor. It has a chin strap as well. Here is the catch folks. It is made for either a child or someone doing LARP. It is very short on a adult. When I wear it on my head my whole chin is exposed. It will fit up to a 23" head. It comes wit...

Armet do not allow for alot of padding and are pretty form fitting. The SCA community hits fairly hard as a rule. I would say 12G is just right. Plus there might be a jouster out there who likes what he sees and they really need the 12 G! ;-)

On the guantlets- If this suit was made to be sometimes used for the tilt the right gauntlet could be made as a type of manifer. If it is just a varied view you might want to consider making a manifer gaunt to go along with this suit.
