On my full arms I had my armourer)Lewis Moore) leave off the fan on the shield arm and I have the fan on my sword arm. The fan kept getting in the way of my shield and its strapping.I need to get rid of my shield in a hurry sometimes (when I tilt). ;-)

first thing I thought of was Mad Mardigan from willow. It looks not much like it if you have seen the movie recently but if not the gold tone and the general look made me think of Val Kilmer fighting the two headed thing in the castle scene.

If you type in Knights tale helmet under a search engine you get a bunch of sites selling teh same 18 G helm from the movie. All around teh same price. I know there are india manufacturers that do work in whatever Gauge you would like. I have one that has sent me a catalog with VERY inexpensive arms...

Had that problem twice before. I would agree with the above posters and add one thing. If at all possible have t same armourer make pauldrons as well as breast and back. I know sometimes you get a good deal on one or thee other but it can be some much of a pain in the neck (or back) that it makes it...

Looks like they ran a nice segment on the event. It looks like they really enjoyed getting the kids envolved in the whole thing. I think that is great. Get the wee ones interested in history as much as you can I say.
I will also agree with a nice splintering of the lance is always nice to see. :-)
