Quick fix before you get the gamb. sleeves longer is to go to a tennis section of a sporting goods store and buy a package of terry cloth wrist bands. They work fairly well on my wrist problem.

I have been a Asatru (One who is faithful to the Aseir) for over 25 years. I am both Asatru and a Germanic Pagan. My family originates from the Northern (Norman) France and Southern Germany. I think that Wil is correct about it being not a religious thing but a person thing. I think Vinzer IMHO is n...

RedLeg- You are right about each state having thier own law about shipping. I sold my Browning Hi-Power (FN-Herstal) and shipped it overnite thru UPS to a dealer in Delaware. All it took was the Dealer mailing down a copy of his FFL and UPS mails it to the address on teh licence. So the best way to ...

I looked over their entire site and I will say this. I do believe you got the only piece of armor that seemed to be made pretty well for the price. If I was going to purchase off that site it would prob. be the placard as well. Maybe I am out of touch but the armor on that site seemed a bit exspensi...

You both have good points. I do think the Adria regs are a very good jumping off point as well. I do not like the "Ooh ya got me, Im dying over here" acts at all either. The alum sword idea might be pretty cool? Do you have a link to who makes them and thier price range? What about alum axes instead...

First let me say that I have seen a decent amount of Adria combat and talked to alot of guys in it. I must say I do like teh combat rules and regs on thier site. The only problem I ever had with Adria was the lack of decent armor. I know there are some out there but for the most part it is a big no....

I think that if the knights were to be familair with a grouping of weapons then it can add more drama to the event by having a knight "win the coin toss" In some medieval way and have the right to choose first weapon. Like in the robert taylor version of "Ivanhoe" when Sir Brian Guellbere says "I ba...

Yes welcome, I guess? Oh what the heck, even New Zealanders are welcome! Dont mind me I am just jealous of the beauty of the Country and the amount of Movie work geared toward re-enactors lately. But as a flipside to all that beauty and work you have to give Callum (Order of the Boar) a place to liv...

Just recieved new custom stainless arms (pics)

I got these from Lewis Moore. Alot has been said about him on this board of late. Its all true! He is great! I have been getting armor from him for several months and I am always happy with every aspect of the deal. I asked for a set of 16G stainless arms. I wanted one fan only. The shield arm has n...

I think Gruber is right. I have fought at 3/4 to full speed with steel and the deciding factor was the armor I was wearing. I also think that the well established fighting schools might not be the way to go. they do not fight at 3/4 to full speed. they do not do the bashing and head butting and pomm...

I think if we all step back for a moment and look at both sides it will look a bit better to many. What ever happen to the armoured guy drinking a pint of stout and smoking a unfiltered smoke before a good fight? I guess he either died of cancer or scarosis (sp). Actually in the pic people are referring to just before I snapped this pic they were in close fighting and the big guy in the green came across with his right arm and sorta side closelined him in a downward motion to the left. They were in close so it was his inside right forearm that did it. He bou...
