Those Gaunts are great. I paid $350 for mine from the moore brother and that did have the glove sewn in. I thought I got a deal at that price.

I would sway $350-500 is reasonable for a really clean pair with the glove in them.

Unfortunately not, I'd have to watch from the sidelines. I'd have to make a helm and purchase a sword just to start to train. The classes would be enough to keep me busy :D

Hi Rod,

definately get the marshals at the training to give your kit a once over. The only thing I can see is that you could get a low profile up your helmet in to your chin. Thats legal and fine and my early period helm has the same problem, just be aware of it.

Probably not but it would be exceedingly uncomfortable. There shouldn't really be anyway that you can be touched in the throat with a full unempeded shot and if you can then I'd recommend that you change your gear.

Looks good Rod. On the next one you might want to bring the cheeck plates in to fit your face a bit more. I also suggest oputting the leather on and rivetting the cage over the leather but this is probably stuff you've already considered.

I look forward to crossing rattan with you in the future.

Looks good and legal. Marshal may not like the gap between the grill and your neck procection as you can get a thrusting tip up there. You may like to weld a D shape angled slightly down on the inside of the grill. Get one of the local marshals to check it with your gorget on and they can tell you. ...
