WTB: fleur de lys belt mounts/rivets

I have seen these in the past but can't track any down. Looking for brass or bronze fluer dely belt mounts. I have found some in pewter.

These could be split, solid shank or speed rivet style.

Anyone got a source for something like these?

Are these dished or just bent?

I would suggest adding some or more dishing to the top to plates so that they conform to the shoulder more.

Owyn you've obviously had much better luck with your shields than I then, if I make a shield out of anything less than 1/2 inch its destroyed in a month. I agree on your selling points though. I had similar thoughts about the price, particularly when its still going to need modification to be sca co...

Based solely on the specs you provide, your round shields will not really work for sca. the 8mm ply will shatter quickly. The edges need to be constructed in a way that will not damage rattan, your basic metal will eat rattan. Your heater shield is all metal, I would recommend not putting the cross ...

I would say sort of like that but with a much smaller gap between the two triangle. You want to have the triangles sit so that when you attach them to the side they make either an oval face opening or a V shape.

Hi, I attached my viking cross guard by getting some fibre tape and twisitng it to make a rope and then wrapping it around the sword above and below the cross hilt. if tthe rattan is thinner than the hole in the cross hilt you can glue a bit of leather on the stick and work the cross hilt back down ...

My current kit cost me around 2.5k

Total spending probably looking at around 10k when I consider my 7 helmets, 4 sets of body armour, 3 sets of legs, 2 sets of arms and then things like shields and swords and other things.

If I took in to account garb and accessories it would be more again.

IF they are mild steel and you want to blue them, you have a couple of options. You could try cold blueing with a gun blue, this puts an oxidising layer on the metal which goes a deep blue/black depending on the brand. Alternatively before they are assembled you will need to heat them up, I'm not su...

Your elbow caps are a bit shallow, they probably need to be 1-2cm deeper in the dish.

Your finger gauntlets will not work for SCA. They need to either bridge (touch the haft of the meapon around your fingers) or have slightly larger plates and be padded.

The helm used by the Kelly gang in the late 1800's (more than a few years ago). From memory it was plow shears.
