I have a cool scar from fighing in mail, I got hit with a glaive and the links lacerated the skin under it...call it a serious area of scrape/road rash. Not fatal. "But I got better" I think you could mash links into flesh and cause lacerations, but it's pretty low probablity. I would think if you c...

What they did was to score the wood so it looked like it had a seam, stained it and the score sucked in more stain, so left a nice dark line, and even on fairly close examinat...

Hi Cat, Beautiful job on the helm... I am curious, how bad does the russeting solution smell when placed back into the oven? Last time I did oven experiments, my wife about killed me, apparently she didn't like the stench coming from my experiments.... Also, consider using car wax, it's designed to ...

Hey Vlad... Here is a thought. Caftans are almost the same cut as a Karate gi. I have been using the heaviest canvas Century makes for a gi top under my armor, and it looks and functions very well. Consider sewing a few extra layers of quilting where you need more protection, and you will look right...

Then you would not have to mess w/ plastic at all. It's not ideal, but it works. I agree the rapier community would LOV...

Tim, I have a bit of experience with plastic like this. All I can say so far is GREAT JOB!!!! Be aware, when you unpack it, EVERY time, check it for cracks unless you pack it in such a way that it won't get bashed around in an armor bag. Plus, when/if you get hit...check it also, it is afterall, pla...
