More like teasing or joking than bragging. In the US it would be pulling your leg or yanking your chain.

That whole 'honesty about what we're doing' thing is the bear to wrastle, I suppose. Question is, what *are* we doing? Fred Piraux went home from the last event and mused on his forum that the event had been the closest thing to 'living history' he had experienced to date, because the focus and inte...

Yeah, same here, absolutely agreed! 'Work with whatcha got' has become my mantra (especially at 5:45 as I head out the door to the gym..... ) I hope you can come out, it would be great to have you here to see what we're doing in person. I'm not making any great claims about what the event is or isn'...

It's a great colour, kind of second bath madder mordanted with alum and iron. Great stuff. Watch the website as we've just done a run of Dark Ages and will have short ends left over. Oh, and by the way we're doing a run of linen DA trousers next week, and there shopuld be some short ends from that. ...

Brent, you crack me up. You really have to learn to lighten up man! You are even more serious than Jeff. Life is too short to be that serious all the time. However, you are absolutely right- I do love Pete more than Jeff sometimes, and Tristan is running a close second, the little rat. The mounted m...

Well, I was going to make a formal announcement in a couple of days about the glass, but this might be a good opportunity to mention it now. I've seen the glass exhibited at the UK shows by various vendors like Forest Glass and while their wares are fine, I still believe Le Verre Historique does the...

Luke says he's seen Polocross but has never played it. He agrees that it looks to be great fun and adds that he'd like to try it, now that he's played polo. I love him to bits but Petrus is a goose, pure and simple. He can be the bravest horse in the world one minute and stand up to gunfire, cannonf...

Thanks for the kudos, the linens are one of my favorite products. I think for me only the glassware gets higher cool points than the table linens. I've been wanting to cut a tablecloth up into either cafe curtains for my kitchen, or a skirt, or a caftan coat kinda thing, but haven't found the time. ...

Thankfully, we haven't run into any rabid animal rights people yet. A few cries of 'animal abuse' from off-site, but everyone on site seemed cool with things, and the riding club is onboard with this not being cruel to the horses. One of our lady judges is a vet, and she's on the field for every jou...

This style is meant to fit close to the body, and the measurements given already allow for a comfortable fit. Your measurements indicate you'd fit into a stock XSmall (38 chest/32 waist) better than you'd fit into a Med (42 chest/36 waist). Sorry Murdoch. I'd love to help but I've already gotten the...

Lance/right. The strike hit the shield and broke, bounced off the shield and got stuck up his vambrace, broke off further down, then hit him in the shield again. At least I *think* that's what Luke told me. I believe vamplates were preferred, but it was up to the competitor if he wanted to use them....

If what you are looking for is a 3 handle drinking mug, I have some from Trinity Court Potteries. We're absolutely committed to everything on the field having the correct 'look'. To that end, I'm prepared to put anyone on the field in appropriate clothing, at no cost to them. Thanks for that Fulk. I found it on the Zee site shortly after I posted. I also found about 8 other electrolyte replacement products. Since I'm not an expert, I decided I'm going to cut to the chase and consult one of the trainers at my gym to see what they say about hydration. Their job is health/f...
