Horrendous! Horrible! You had to catch me getting run down by 3-4 people and falling on my ass.... Of course, I will have to get a better look than on my android phone.... Don't blame me but the camera operator. I was on the field running around trying to hit Englishmen. Next time I suggest you don...

Wow.

I don't think I have ever been that far into the bog... Maybe once when I got lost late at night during my first War.

Can anyone give me better directions than "bridge in the bog"?

I really don't want to trek down there just to wander around aimlessly trying to find a bridge... :)

I made an ABS 1 piece globose by pressing the plastic into a mold. I used 1/8" sheet - I'm sure I could do it again with 3/16".

Hard to know if these are stains or active mold. I suppose since there is nothing to brush off, it is probably a stain at this point. Pushes me toward the lemon juice option to bleach out the residue.

Thanks!

I thought of that - unfortunately, the tent can be set up inside out. I'm pretty sure the top would rip out because of the crazy nail method Price used to hold the thing together....

Thanks for the product suggestions so far! Any thoughts on how to clean the inside and then get it dry enough so it doesn't mildew again? Pavilion Maintenance

Hi All- So I've got a Revival.us round pavilion. The walls don't come off, so it is very difficult to get a good air flow inside - this is important... A couple of years ago, we had a VERY wet Pennsic that ended up seeing everything I had at war get musty and moldy, including the inside of my pavili...

Do you have a digital camera? It's not Français 156 at Mandragore. Not exactly sure what to search on. Right - I just remembered why I had had this note on my desk for a month and hadn't posted it. It is in the National Library of Russia in St. Petersburg. This isn't a terribly helpful link, but it...

Re: The Ombrellino, Umbraculum or Pavilion and Medieval Tent

While flipping through one of my wife's books of illuminations (Western European Illuminated Manuscripts 8th - 16th Centuries) I found an interesting illumination on page 109 showing the interior of a round pavilion from the mid-15th century. Edit - the manuscript is in the Russian National Library ...

I love that picture - it was the basis for my current kit. It is usually dated later than mid-century. I do the multiple layers thing, though neither my foundation layer (pourpoint) nor my jupon are padded. The jupon would look better if it were padded. I don't feel the need to pad my pourpoint - I ...

Finger Gauntlets - Leather Recommendation?

I blew out the articulation on my Lewis Moore finger gauntlets a few years ago. When I re-mounted the lames this past year I made a rookie mistake and chose to use upholstery leather. I am now, one year later, re-redoing my finger gauntlets... What are people using for the articulation leathers that...

I recently purchased a used Mandrake 2" tip. It didn't come with foam or the taping instructions. Could someone please post a synopsis of the foam dimensions and the taping instructions - I don't want to get to Pennsic and have the spear bounced at inspection.

I use a Baldar black plastic boss cut in half and raised up on spacers. Cover the back of the shield with black felt and it all but disappears.

Yes, the hoyke/heuke in Middle-Dutch / Middle Low-German, it seems that this cloak with attached hood was a very normal piece of 'bad weather' clothing back then. But I have not made one yet, the featured hood and cloak are seperate. If I were to make one, I would opt for front closing all the way....
