G63 Gown versus Later gowns

Hi all- The Herjolfsnes Gown #63 is often dated to circa 1350. Can anyone explain to me the functional difference between this garment and turn of the 15th century gowns? I know that slightly later the bag sleeve and dags begin to make a showing, but as we can see on James B's excellent photo essay ...

From the UK in the past, delivery has taken 3 to 4 days, and it's been 20 and I still don't have a box--and I have people waiting for those shoes and that ga...

Champions are invited to participate even if their Baron and baroness are unable to attend.

Likewise, territorial barons and baronesses are invited to join the gallery even if they do not have a champion present upon the field!

I look forward to seeing everyone there!

Spring Steel Globose Breastplate for Sale

Hi All- I've got a brand new, never worn spring steel breastplate with stop rib for sale. As you can see in the picture, it is strapped but the leather has never been punched. It is just a little bit too big for me - my loss, hopefully your gain! I am 5'11", ~190 lbs. I wear a 41R suit coat. Th...

Putting a New Sole on Revival/Westland Shoes

Hi All- I've finally walked through my low boots. I took it to the local cobbler and they wanted $85 to put a new sole on them, which I find silly since I can buy a new pair at retail for less than that, not to mention wholesale direct from Westland. All the same, these boots are in good shape other...

I have a tempered spring steel globose with stop rib for sale. Strapped, but the leather has not been punched. The breastplate arrived too large for me and has never been fought in.

It will fit someone who wears a 48R suit coat.

Per cop.
($20 cop + $20 edging) * (2 knees + 2 elbows) = $160

Conal- Can your jupon fit over your arm harness? They're very nice arms, so it's sort of a shame to conceal them. If you're shooting for sort of a Black Prince look you might go with a wife beater cut to your surcoat, which would be over the body harness. You could also go with the continental look...
