I went on a Crapaud pilgrimage to Brittany in 95. Dinan, Mont St. Michelle, Rennes etc. I left the first link I ever was awarded as a token from a knight under the urn where his heart lay. When nobody was looking I tossed it up there and it slid under the urn. I shouldn't have done that, but I doub...

Sorry, just saw this... I'm not really the guy to be giving sewing advice, but... It is basically two slightly off-shape rectangles of fabric that fit over your breastplate. The off shapeness of the rectangles give you the tight fit to the curvature of your globose. I'm sure that if you were to post...

Not in France. Perhaps the HRH, but that is not my area of interest, so can not be certain.

I am not in the market for this style of gauntlet, however having recently started re-building my finger gauntlets... As they are, I would pay $300-400. I would pay $500-600 for those if you were to stitch the leather backing of the fingers to the glove instead of hard rivetting them in place. Being...

I wear a plastic breast plate under my jupon. It is simliar to, but different than the corrazina on the Classifieds page. They are wearing clothes and fighting sword and buckler. It's not two swords but it is an entirely documentable martial kit that can be fit into a carry on bag.

How does one keep leather garters from staining the chausses underneath - particularly in wet weather where the legs are bound to get damp?

Seal the leather? Leather type? Deal with the stains because they are unavoidable?

Suggestion: Conduct the combat in two parts with a water break in the middle. During the first part, no ransoms can occur and no deaths happen, basically Blows of Peace. Then after the water break the capture/death rules apply. Even if you make the first part of the Combat 5 minutes long, that woul...

Yes, the collar is for comfort with the gorget and really helps. Also, I like the way it looks better. :)

There is one other modification in the sleeves as well - there was a small fiddly bit that got incorporated into its neighbor rather than remaining an additional set of seams to deal with.

I am in the process of repairing my own gauntlets and the ones I was borrowing had blown all of the straps. I just didn't realize it until it was way too late.

It hurt, there was blood. No one in the audience at the demo was any wiser for it though.
