I got mine in kit form from Master Cad. It's plastic, but unless you look behind the curtai...

Yes heat can be an issue, but because they are splints and not solid or continuous defences and they are held in a fabrinc casing some transpiration happens. So once you are sweating heat is dissipated reasonably well, using linen for the material would help that some. The splints in the MKI are 1.5...

My MKI's currently on permanent loan to Muttman, are several layers of cotton batting quilted between to layers of cotton twill. There is a third layer stitched to the back, I sewed long channels that were open at the top, and then slid plastic splints in the channels. Mutt wears them backwards, for...

Gaston, We are looking for aluminum wasters for the Company of the Crescent and for the WMA class run by Jeremy Oneill. I believe that currently Jeremy has two wasters from Valentine that have been in fairly regular use for about two years. They are getting pretty chewed up but may have another year...

Your only going to get a handful of armourers. Thats pretty specific stuff he wants. I would approach Historic Enterprises, that is within their range of specialty and you wont find much closer to the original shape and materials. Jeff's work is top notch. Gwens is very nice as well. Foundation garm...

14th century german, taken from no particular effigies of illuminations. Concept is heavily influenced by staring too long at the images of the Pistoia alterpiece (Italian). Needs: Finger gauntlets, correct belt, new cuisses and poleyns (those dig into the back of my knees when I run.) Hose instead ...

Excellent for cavalry impressions http://www.armourarchive.org/ubb/wink.gif A bit of shoe goo or the rubber sole solution will make them useful for fightin...

A while back Mac did a run of four greathelms. I remember Rhys mentioning that he hammered the plates to get the curve and that this gave the finished piece a compound curve (can be seen in the black prince's helm). Have any of the four owners of these pieces taken any photos? I am curious about the...
